Christmas Tree Recycling Begins 11 January for Cornwall Residents

Jan 8, 2021 | News

Cornwall Council will be collecting real Christmas trees (up to 6ft in height) in the weeks beginning Monday 11 January and Monday 18 January. Collections will be made on your normal rubbish collection day on the opposite week to your recycling during this fortnight only. Place your tree near your rubbish by 7am for collection. It will be shredded and composted, so please make sure you remove any decorations and take it out of its pot.

Christmas trees should be collected by a separate crew on the same day, so don’t worry if your rubbish is collected and your tree is still there. The other crew will be along later in the day to pick it up.
