Cormac, on behalf of Cornwall Council, is seeking public comments on a proposal to improve access to bus services at Trevisker Garden Centre, Padstow.
The proposed scheme includes improvements to the existing northbound and southbound bus stops located on the A389 adjacent to Trevisker Garden Centre.
On the northbound side of the carriageway, the existing lay-by would be repurposed for exclusive use by buses. A new pedestrian link would be provided between the lay-by and Trevisker Garden Centre via an opening created in the existing boundary wall. A new crossing point would also be introduced to provide a safe connection to the southbound side of the carriageway.
On the southbound side of the carriageway, a new section of footway would be constructed to create an accessible waiting area for bus passengers, improving safety and accessibility for those using the bus stop.
These improvements aim to enhance access to public transport, provide safer pedestrian connections, and encourage sustainable travel in the area.
