Padstow Town Council has received confirmation from Cornwall Council of the planned start date for works on the new bus stop on the Railway Car Park. This is the culmination of conversations back and forth with Cornwall Council to seek to improve the current bus stop provision in the Railway Car Park for the safety of both bus and car park users. Works are due to take place week commencing 21 September 2026 and expected to last 3 weeks.
Padstow Town Council will liaise with Cornwall Council to try to keep disruption to a minimum but please do bear with us during this time. Fernbank will be providing a new bus shelter in keeping with the heritage and style of the Station House building.
Other works will take place later in the year (November 2026) to remove the existing bus stop area and make good, as well as relocating the Council Office visitor/staff parking area.
