Council Policies

The right to record, film and to broadcast meetings of the Council, Committees and Sub Committees is established following the Local Government Audit and Accountability Act 2014.

The Town Council has a general duty under the Local Authorities’ Cemeteries Order 1977 to maintain Padstow Cemetery burial ground in good order.

The Localism Act 2011 requires the Council to adopt a Code of Conduct for Members that is consistent with a set of principles & duties.

The Council has an established community grant scheme which aims to encourage and support community associations, and related organisations, which are not for profit that will directly benefit the community.

The Council recognises that from time to time there will be concerns expressed by members of the public over the activities of the Council, the Council’s administration, its procedures or Committees.

The Council is committed to being transparent about how it collects and uses the personal data of individuals, and to meeting its data protection obligations.

These Financial Regulations govern the financial management of the Council and may only be amended or varied by resolution of the Council. They are one of the Council’s governing documents.

The Council holds personal data about employees, residents, suppliers and other individuals for a variety of Council purposes. This policy explains your rights in respect to the data held.

The delegated decision making by Committees must be exercised in accordance with the law, the Council’s Standing Orders and Financial Regulations and any approved policy framework and budget.
