Town Council Car Parks

Padstow Town Council owns and operates the following 2 car parks within the town:

The Railway Car Park                                      The Lawns Car park
Station Road                                                    School Hill
Padstow                                                           Padstow
PL28 8DA                                                         PL28 8EB

The Railway Car Park is the larger car park and provides level access to Padstow Town and the Camel Trail. The Lawn’s Car Park is located next to Padstow Library and is the closest parking to the Plantation Area and an approx. 10 minute downhill walk to Padstow Town.

Coach Parking

Coach spaces are provided in The Railway Car Park. Spaces are for parking only, there are no designated set down / collection points.  Coaches must pay the coach tariff and are subject to a maximum 4 hour stay.

Coach parking is unsuitable in the Lawn’s Car Park.

Disabled Parking

Disabled parking is available in both car parks though extremely limited in the Lawn’s. Disabled Parking cannot be guaranteed or reserved and during busy periods does fill up.  Drivers must ensure they display a valid disabled permit when parked in a disabled space.  There are no concessions and the appropriate parking fee must be paid.  The RingGo payment service provides an easy access alternative payment option to the car park ticket machines.

Motorhome Parking

Designated motorhome parking spaces are provided in the Railway Car Park. The fee for these spaces are the same as the standard car park fee.  When these spaces are full, motorhomes are permitted to park in coach spaces provided they pay the coach fee and adhere to the 4 hour maximum stay for a coach space.  Alternatively, motorhomes can park using more than one car space provided the driver pays for the number of spaces used and does not cause an obstruction to traffic.

Please note, there is no overnight parking provision for motorhomes and they are prohibited between 22:00 – 08:00.  For information regarding local campsites, please contact the Tourist Information Centre.

Motorhome parking is unsuitable in the Lawn’s Car Park.

Motorcycle Parking

There is no separate motorcycle fee and no designated motorcycle parking.  Motorcycles where parked in a parking space must pay the appropriate fee for that parking space and ensure the ticket is displayed in accordance with section 6.7 of The Padstow Town Council (Off-Street Parking Places) Order 2015.  More than one motorcycle can be parked in the same space provided that they fit within the delineation and do not cause an obstruction.

Paying For Parking

There are ticket machines located in both car parks which accept coin only payment for parking. The machines do not have the facility to give refunds or change.  Alternatively, parking can be paid for using the RingGo Service using a credit/debit card.  The RingGo location codes are:

Railway Car Park: 2849
