Railway Car Park Improvement and Cliff Stabilisation Works

March 10, 2014 / Leave a comment

Please note latest update with regards to the car park improvement and cliff stabilisation works for your information.

DISRUPTION TUESDAY 11 MARCH – TARMACING

  • Please note: There will be disruption on TUESDAY 11 MARCH (tomorrow) as the section of road from the harbour entrance up to the Crib Box and the road and parking in front of the Cycle Hire and Techcon Building will be tarmaced.    Ideally therefore there will be no access on this piece of car park for heavy vehicles, but possibly light vehicles (with some delay) whilst tarmacing is taking place.
  • I am sure you have already noticed but the cliff stabilisation works were completed as scheduled and this part of the project is now complete.
  • As you’ll know the adverse weather has really impacted on our schedule for the car park.  We hope with this better weather that progress will pick up and we hope to be completed by the end of this month.
  • Although we hope the main car park will be completed by the end of the month the roadway from the Hatchery out towards the harbour will be concreted in April ideally 7th to the 9th.  This is being delayed as during this time the harbour will not be used as much i.e. sand lorries won’t be running during this time.

Kind regards

Kathy Pemberton
Town Clerk
