Flood Advice for Cornwall

Dec 20, 2019 | Uncategorized

It has been an exceptionally wet autumn. September and October were among the wettest on record.  The ground is saturated across the country, rivers are full and this means that it will now take less rain to have a significant impact.

With the recent wet weather and rain further forecasted in the next few days across Cornwall, we would like to remind you of some important contacts in the event of a flood situation

Useful contact numbers can be found below:

  • Environment Agency Flood line for advice- 0345 988 1188
  • Environment Agency incident hotline for 24hr reporting- 0800 80 70 60

You can keep up to date by signing up for EA flood warnings with the following link: https://www.gov.uk/sign-up-for-flood-warnings

Please take care on the roads and remember to not attempt to drive through flood water.
