Damage to MUGA

Mar 23, 2026 | News

We are saddened to report damage to our community MUGA.  We believe the damage involving the tennis net and also spilt white gloss paint occurred between Friday 20 March afternoon and Sunday 22 March morning.

The wire in the tennis net has been broken. Public are reminded not to remove the tennis nets.  Proper removal requires a key to loosen the wire and needs to be requested.  The Council ensures one tennis net is always set up so that a variety of sports are available.

Most upsetting is the white gloss paint which has been split on the surface of the MUGA.  We are unsure at this stage how this damage can be removed without leaving the facility permanently tarnished.

The damage has been reported to the police as vandalism.  We urge anyone with information regarding this incident to please come forward.
