Remembrance Sunday – 9 November

Nov 7, 2014 | Events

A service of Remembrance is being held in St Petroc’s Church this Sunday.  The service begins at 10.50 but it is advisable to arrive early due to the anticipated congregation size.  At 12pm there will be wreath laying at the War Memorial and a small rededication ceremony following the Memorial’s restoration earlier this Autumn.  The restoration and rededication are in recognition of this Centenary year and pay tribute not only to those who gave their lives for our freedom in the two world wars but as the memorial itself says; “in grateful appreciation of the services of those who returned”.
