Padstow Town Council’s Finance & General Purposes Committee met on the 17 February 2015 to consider the 2015-16 Grant Applications. The Committee considered all grant applications with their supporting documentation and awarded grants in accordance with the Council’s Grants Policy. Grants are awarded annually and applications are considered from charities and organisations that are either based in Padstow or Trevone or that can demonstrate a clear benefit to a number of its residents. Details of the Grants Policy, eligibility and how to apply are available from the Council website www.padstow-tc.gov.uk and the Council offices.
Padstow Town Council is pleased to support the local community and proud of its Grants Policy which is funded through the Council’s two car parks and property rental income. The Council is fortunate that this income directly benefits the town’s residents because the Council does not need to set a precept (parish/town cost) on top of the Council tax set by Cornwall Council. In fact Padstow is the only Town Council in Cornwall not to charge a precept.
