The County of Cornwall (Footpath 22 Padstow) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2015
Notice is hereby given that Cornwall Council has made the above Order dated 9th March 2015 prohibiting the use by through traffic of the undermentioned length of footpath at Padstow. This restriction is necessary for public safety owing to a unsafe footpath. The closure will continue from 10th March to 10th September 2015 (24 hours weekends included) or until the works are completed whichever is sooner. The footpath was previously closed for reasons of public safety by emergency site notice from 17th February to 9th March 2015 (24 hours weekends included)

Alternative Route
From the south east end of the closure take a westerly direction along Footpath 22 then take a north easterly turning along Footpath 22 towards the north west end of the closure; and vice versa

This makes it sound like the whole coast path is closed when in fact it is a 50m section at Hawkers Cove with a 50m diversion around it. It has in fact been closed since January 2014 when the storms hit!
It does not affect anyone using the Coast Path between Padstow and Stepper Point or Trevone.
