I’m sure you would have noticed the unfortunate state of Port Arthur slip, as shown in the picture below (this is the slip located closest to the Camel Trail entrance). We are pleased to advise that Padstow Town Council has appointed Michael Vanstone to repair the damage. Works were originally planned to start today however, I can confirm that the contractor will be setting up their site on the concrete apron along Port Arthur tomorrow (9 Feb 2017). It is hoped the work will take 2 weeks; however this will depend upon the weather and tides.
The contractor will endeavour to keep disruption to a minimum however it is expected that there will be some to-ing and fro-ing, particularly when materials are being delivered. Please bear with us, it will be worth it in the end to have the slip finally fixed.
