Remembrance Sunday – 14 November 2021

Oct 27, 2021 | News

Following a meeting with key organisers who help to make our Remembrance Day the great occasion it is each year, we are pleased to confirm that it will be returning to normal Remembrance Day proceedings on Sunday 14 November 2021.

This is welcomed news as we can now all look forward to meeting at the bandstand from 10.15 am to then march to the church service led in music by the Padstow Merrymakers, after which to continue the march to the War Memorial at Stile Field for the wreath laying ceremony. Anyone wishing to attend the Remembrance Service at the church is encouraged to wear a face mask before being seated and to wrap up warm as the church will be well ventilated. The church has also confirmed they will be live streaming the Remembrance Service on their Facebook page, so please do watch their page for the link to join nearer the time.

Any organisation wishing to order a wreath are asked to please contact Barbara Flanagan by calling her on 01841 532696 to place your order.  Wreaths can be collected from 9.30 am on Remembrance Sunday from the Institute as usual.

This really is fantastic news. A big heart-warming thank you to all that make this possible so that we can honour and remember on this most important day.
