Cornwall Council Christmas Tree Recycling

Nov 29, 2021 | News

After Christmas, Cornwall Council will collect non-artificial Christmas trees up to 6ft tall. Residents should cut their tree in two if larger than 6ft. The trees will be shredded and composted.

People with subscriptions to Cornwall Council’s garden waste service should put their real Christmas tree out on their normal garden waste collection day. People who don’t have a garden waste subscription should put their tree out on their rubbish collection day between Monday 10 January and Friday 14 January 2022

People can also take their real Christmas trees to their nearest Household Waste and Recycling Centre. Decorations and pots should be removed before trees are recycled.

Further information can be found on Cornwall Council website: https://www.cornwall.gov.uk/rubbish-recycling-and-waste/christmas-waste-and-recycling-collections/
