Padstow and Trevone Platinum Jubilee Thanks

Jun 7, 2022 | News

Dear One and All

We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone that contributed and supported the Padstow Town Council’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations over the Jubilee Weekend in Padstow and Trevone.  We think that it is safe to say that when it comes to putting on an event the communities of Padstow and Trevone always delivers above and beyond its expectations.

We would like to give special thanks to Tesco’s and the Padstow Social Club for the cream teas provided for the senior citizens, the Gas Shack Company for all they did at the lighting of the beacons, Ian Dawe Electricals for the illuminating of the Victoria Monument, Prideaux Place for opening up their gardens and providing music by Toby Lobb, cream teas and lots of fun for everyone and to all the people who put so much effort into window displays throughout the town.

Special thanks has to go to Nadelik Lowen who put so much effort into organising the family fun day at Wheal Jubilee Parc, they worked tirelessly to make this event such a huge success and we cannot thank them enough for all the hard work that they put in over the last 4 months. Thank you too to the Padstow Merry Makers, The Stowes and the Ukulele Band who provided their time and entertainment for free.

As a Town Council we wanted our whole community to enjoy each event and provided the funding for each, in particular for all the activities, welfare facilities and rides in order that the Family Fun Day was free of charge.

We now come to our final round of thanks, which without these individuals putting so much of their own time and effort into making this weekend a success, they are Councillor Janet Dawe, Councillor Teri Walter, Councillor Martin Rickard and our Council Support Officer, Tracey Trestain.

Yours faithfully

James O’Keefe (Mayor)
Richard Higman (Deputy Mayor)
