Consultation on proposed public space CCTV cameras in the Lawns Area, Padstow: Closes Wednesday 22 February 2023
Padstow Town Council is concerned that the problem of anti-social behaviour in the skate park and under 12s play area at the Lawns in Padstow is increasing. The Council’s Leisure, Tourism and Open Spaces Committee has been investigating the scope of this problem and considering possible solutions.
Padstow Town Council is therefore proposing to install 3 public space CCTV cameras in the Lawn’s area. Specifically, these cameras would cover the skate park and the under 12’s play area and a part of the public spaces in the immediate vicinity of these facilities.
The Town Council is inviting feedback on this proposal with a public consultation which will run from Wednesday 25 January to Wednesday 22 February. The consultation is open to all ages and individuals as the Town Council would like to consider the views of younger residents who use these facilities as well as the views of the wider community.
