As part of Padstow Town Council’s celebration of the Coronation of King Charles III, the Town Council has teamed up with digital company High Street Safari to run a free family trail in Padstow. The interactive trail uses unique digital technology but there’ no need to download an app or sign up to any sites, all you need is a smart device that can read QR codes.
Following the trail map, visit all of the King’s friends in Padstow to see what they suggest he wear for his coronation (spoiler alert, they are not all very sensible!) As you go along, complete mini-challenges and don’t forget to “try on” the items yourselves taking selfies with them on! When you’ve met all 10 friends, you can see the fully prepared King in augmented reality and download a free children’s book of the story’s conclusion.
Taking part is simple!
- Visit the website to see the trail map
- Visit each of the 10 locations
- Scan their unique QR codes with your smart device
- When you’ve found them all, download your free digital book
If you’re unsure if your device reads QR codes the website: highstreetsafari.com/kingswardrobe offers a sample code, so you can ensure you’re ready before you set off.

The trail will start at 10am on Monday 17th April and be available until 15 May 2023.
