Hold the date – Saturday 23 September 2023 Community Fun Day!
Padstow Town Council will be holding a community fun day at the Lawns Car Park, Padstow. The Council will formally celebrate the opening of the new play area, Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) and the core building. We will be giving the core building a new name “Padstow Community Hub” and inviting our local community to look around, have a cuppa and also give us their views/ideas on what the space could be used for. This is also the home of the Satellite Foodbank with their volunteers being there too, to show their space and what help they can offer.
We are inviting local groups/organisations in the parish to set up a stall in our Lawns Car Park to showcase what they offer – a great opportunity to raise more interest within our community to help attract participants and volunteers. If you’re interested in joining this event please contact us by Monday 11 September – ask for Tracey Trestain, Council’s Facilities Officer, who will be gathering details on attendees and activities to ensure all is covered for the event risk assessment and insurance. Local groups help build a strong community and joining them can improve mental health and wellbeing.
The Council are arranging free workshops and fun activities and Padstow Social Club will be on hand to offer a wet weather venue.
Let’s all come together to celebrate the variety our parish can offer, the improvements the Council has undertaken and provide us with more ideas for the future.
