Tree works week commencing 15 April

Apr 15, 2024 | News

This week tree surgeon contractors will be on Padstow Town Council land to undertake some necessary tree works. All works are weather dependent. The contractor will close footpaths/areas, erect barriers and put up appropriate signage as necessary to make public aware. Below provides potential dates, areas and brief description of the works

Date: Wednesday 17th April
Location: Lawns car park entrance and around the under 12’s play area.
Brief description: Pruning and clearance from hut roof/fencing, road, footpath and signs to the tree near the entrance of Lawns car park. Along with some branch removal/pruning to give better clearance to the under 12’s play area.

Dates: 18th & 19th April 2024
Location: South Quay behind workshop units, just along from Railway Car Park on the roadway leading to the Camel Trail – as well as some chipping taking place at Wheal Jubilee Parc
Brief description: Some tree branch and shrub removal from behind the workshop units to take place. Restrictions with the site means branches etc will be removed off site and taken to Wheal Jubilee Parc where the contractor will set up a safe area for the chipping to take place.

Date: 19th April 2024
Location: Padstow Cemetery
Brief description: Felling two trees in Padstow Cemetery as recommended by the Council tree surveyor. One of these being a Whitebeam which has died and another a Italian Alder which has a decay pocket and removal would benefit the neighbouring Sycamore.
