Update: 22 June 2020

Padstow Sk8 re-opened
This afternoon the skate park located at Lawns in Padstow has re-opened. We are aware that there has been continued use of the skatepark despite the Town Council putting measures in place when it closed following Government guidance.
Please follow the guidelines set out as per the posters put up on the skate park.
To view posters click links: Skate Park Poster & Skate Park Safety Poster
We have taken official guidance which includes the restriction in numbers in being able to ensure social distancing, for Padstow Sk8 its 3 users, due to the size of the site.
If social distancing is not adhered to and the risk of using the skatepark is too great further measures will be put in place which may require the skatepark to have close – we don’t want to do this, we want you to enjoy this activity but to keep safe. Please use the skatepark responsibly during the Covid-19 pandemic and have regard for others as well as yourself and your friends and family.

Update: 18 June 2020

Railway toilets, located in the Railway car park by Station House are now open. These will be open 7 days a week from 10 am until 4 pm but will close at 2 pm on quieter days (as determined by the volume of public).

We have also updated our COVID-19 Town Council response web page with further details, not only regarding public toilets but also about Council & Committee meetings, outside spaces and other useful information – to view this page please click here.

Update: 11 May 2020

The Councils skate park and young people’s play area remain close. We will of course continue to monitor the situation in light of the recent Government announcement however, consider that these should still remain closed, particularly as the skate park we can’t confidentially ensure social distancing and the young children’s play area is a high contact area. You can of course enjoy our other outdoor areas in the parish, being mindful of the conditions put on us by Government at this time.

Stay safe

Update: 25 march 2020

Following the recent Government announcement, Padstow Town Council is closed until further notice.  We will, however, be reviewing the situation.  All staff are aware of their responsibilities and the need to stay home and to stay safe.  Staff will be working from home, with only essential checks and tasks being made as and when required.

Our play area and skate park are closed and should not be accessed.  No safety checks will be made during this time.   Our public toilets have also been closed.  Please be responsible for your own and others safety and stay away.  Keep your distance and have care for everyone.

Until such time as we are advised otherwise, Cornwall Council the Planning authority are still processing planning applications. Following advice from the Cornwall Association of Local Councils, the Town Council adopted a mechanism during this time to respond and ensure public consultation. Further information on this mechanism and to view current applications the council is being consulted can be found here: https://padstow-tc.gov.uk/planning/

If you need to contact the Town Council, please either email enquiries@padstow-tc.gov.uk or leave a phone message.  We will get back to you as soon as we are able.  However, please do bear with us during this time.  Telephone messages will not be checked as frequently as emails.

We wish you all our heartfelt love during this time and that we continue to be strong so that we can together deal with these changes to our lives.  We all need to come together by changing things and how we live our lives NOW so that we can be back to normal as quickly as possible, with lives saved and our NHS able to cope.

Please stay home – stay safe and keep well.
